Hi, I'm Katie

Originally from Ontario, I spent my childhood summers on Anderson Lake and always knew I would return to the Sea to Sky, where I now live and have built my career over the past nine years.

With an Advanced Diploma in Interior Architecture and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design with Distinction, my background combines design knowledge with a strong understanding of how projects are documented, coordinated and ultimately built.

Having worked within design studios and alongside builders and trades on active job sites, I recognized a consistent gap between design intent and construction execution. That experience led me to create Drafting Perspectives, providing technical drafting, permit and construction drawings, 3D modelling and documentation for homeowners, interior designers, builders and trades.

A large part of my work is supporting other design professionals behind the scenes, translating their concepts into clear, accurate drawings and documentation while respecting and maintaining their original design intent.

My background in design has also grown into Forma Nova Interiors, my separate interior design practice. While the two businesses complement one another, Drafting Perspectives remains a dedicated technical resource for designers, builders and trades who need reliable drafting and documentation support. Together, they reflect the two sides of my experience, creative design and technical execution, with a strong understanding of what it takes to move a project from an idea into something that can actually be built.
